Geography Post Applicant Visit Days - April 2017


Once you have applied and received an offer to study in GeoSciences, we will invite you to attend a post application visit day.  The dates of these are Wednesday 12th, Wednesday 19th and Friday 21st April 2017.

The programme for all our visit days include presentations about studying our programmes, accommodation services and student life at Edinburgh.  You will have the opportunity to informally meet with staff from your chosen degree programme, and talk with current students about their experiences.

How to get here

Our Geography Programme is based in The Institute of Geography (Old Infirmary), Drummond Street, in the Central Area of Edinburgh.

There is limited free on-street parking on the outskirts of the Kings Building campus.  Please note that time restrictions may apply in some areas. 

Parking on campus is restricted to permit holders only.  Parking without displaying a permit will result in an expensive fine.


If overnight accommodation is required please make own arrangements.

Virtual Visit Day  Session

Not able to attend one of our PAVDs in person? No worries! We are also hosting a virtual session where you will have the opportunity to speak with our admissions adviser with any questions or queries you may have about the programmes, as well as the opportunity to speak with some of our current students about settling in to Edinburgh and university life in general.
