Support and facilities
We understand that the prospect of starting university can be daunting. Don’t worry - we will look after you while you are here.
Academic and pastoral care
With a dedicated Personal Tutor, you will be in safe hands. Your Personal Tutor will meet with you regularly to discuss your progress and aspirations, and will be your first point of contact should you encounter any difficulties with your studies.
Additionally, we have two Student Support Coordinators in the School who will work closely with any student who encounters a problem throughout their time with us.
As an Ecological and Environmental Sciences student, your Student Support Coordinator will be Emma Latto.
We recently launched a successful PALs scheme - Peer Assisted Learning - where older students meet with new students to mentor them and offer advice and guidance.
The Edinburgh University Student’s Association (EUSA) offer lots of events and activities for our new students so you are sure to settle in quickly.
