Careers and network

Edinburgh is rated 16th Worldwide for Skills Sought by Employers. 

Our recent graduates have followed careers in environmental consultancy, conservation, policy advice and scientific research. Examples of specific roles that our recent graduates  are currently working in across the  UK include:

  • Ecology Inspector for local municity 
  • Nature Conservation Estate Worker for Green Mantle 
  • Ecological and Environmental Researcher for the Centre For Ecology and Hydrology
  • Graduate Consultant for AECOM
  • Researcher Sustainability Consultant for Delksgatt 
  • Assistant Ranger for Penicuik Estate Ranger Service 
  • Countryside Ranger for East Devon Council
  • Waste and Recycling Support Officer for South Cambridgeshire District Council 

Several of our graduates also continue on with further study in areas such as Environmental Technology and Sustainability and Consultancy. 

One of our alumni, Piers Sellers, went on to become an astronaut for NASA!
