The School of GeoSciences is excited to announce two fully funded 48-month UK/EU PhD scholarships available from September 2017. The studentships involve training in both research and teaching skills. The successful applicants will gain practical experience through supporting core teaching, including field courses, on our undergraduate Geography degree programme. The studentships are fully funded for 48 months from September 2017, with one focusing on Human Geography and the other on Physical Geography.

Eligible candidates are students from the UK, EEA or Switzerland who satisfies the criteria for 'home fees'.
The application process is outlined below. Applicants must complete and submit the documents requested by 14th April 2017.
All applicants of every nationality are required to prove their English language competence and where applicable we may request an English Language certificate. Accepted tests are listed on the university's website.

Students who do not wish to apply for one of the projects above can apply using their own project. To do so, the project must be agreed in advance of the application with one of the supervisors listed in the document below.
