Global Change Seminar Series

The Global Change seminars are an interdisciplinary series exploring global change issues aimed at an audience of staff and students from a wide range of fields.

The seminars take place on Wednesday at 13:00.

Inviting a speaker: please contact the speaker, find a suitable time for their visit and book it in the Doodle poll at When you or the speaker selects a slot, make sure that the name of the speaker is followed by the name of the host in brackets. Then, send the speaker’s name, e-mail address and affiliation to the organisers who will send an official invitation. The host is expected to coordinate the visit: welcome, meeting with staff and students, lunch and/or dinner.


Travel arrangements:  the Global Change Institute contributes to travel expenses and up to two nights bed and breakfast, plus lunch and dinner on the day of the seminar. Please contact Eladio for B&B booking. The speaker arranges their own (economy) travel. After their visit, they send the receipts and claim for expenses to Eladio. Expense claim forms can be downloaded from The Institute will contribute up to £150 for travel and up to £80 for lunch and an evening dinner for the speaker, host and guests (please send receipts and claim form to Eladio).
