Inviting a speaker: please contact the speaker, find a suitable time for their visit and book it in the Doodle poll at http://www.doodle.com/iyns3q6trabyxvst. When you or the speaker selects a slot, make sure that the name of the speaker is followed by the name of the host in brackets. Then, send the speaker’s name, e-mail address and affiliation to the organisers who will send an official invitation. The host is expected to coordinate the visit: welcome, meeting with staff and students, lunch and/or dinner.
Travel arrangements: the Global Change Institute contributes to travel expenses and up to two nights bed and breakfast, plus lunch and dinner on the day of the seminar. Please contact Eladio for B&B booking. The speaker arranges their own (economy) travel. After their visit, they send the receipts and claim for expenses to Eladio. Expense claim forms can be downloaded from http://pgres.geos.ed.ac.uk/Forms/staff/Expenses-Claim-Form.pdf. The Institute will contribute up to £150 for travel and up to £80 for lunch and an evening dinner for the speaker, host and guests (please send receipts and claim form to Eladio).
