Privacy notice for EEO Seminars
Information about you: how we use it and with whom we share it
The information you provide will be used by the University to keep you informed of forthcoming EEO seminars and any other similar special events.
We are using information about you because you have attended a previous EEO Seminar and/or are part of the wider "Geo" community including colleagues, alumni and industry professionals. Thus, we would very much like to stay in touch with you and to keep you informed of our news and forthcoming events, and to continue to build links between academia and industry for the benefit of all. It is in the University's and list members' legitimate interest to be and remain informed of all such events. Alternatively if you are a private individual held on our dedicated email list then you are receiving emails about forthcoming seminars due to having previously consented to receive such communications.
We do not share your information with any other agency.
We may use 3rd party online event planning tools or services for the purposes of advertising and marketing seminars to as wide an audience as possible. You may choose to sign-up to events hosted on such sites as a convenient diary-planning tool, however such sign-up is not compulsory and does not confer undue advantage. Neither do we share any collected data with such agencies. Note that some of these platforms may be based outside of the EU and that you should always consult the data privacy of any other website carefully should you choose to pass information to it.
We will hold the personal data you provided us for as long as you remain interested in receiving these mails/mails about EEO seminars.
