In research, we know that the ability to soothe ourselves at times of distress helps us stay well. However, little is known about how people soothe themselves in everyday life.
Project Soothe wants to learn more about the everyday experience of self-soothe. They hope to achieve this by inviting volunteers to them photos that make people feel soothed. They post these images on their website and collect feedback from viewers about whether these images make them feel soothed too. These images wil be combined into a large bank of photos for use in future research and therapies. All of the images are provided are by members of the public around the world, such as yourself.
