The General Council

Forthcoming meetings

General Council Half-Yearly Meeting - Saturday 10th June 2023

The next General Council Half-Yearly Meeting will be held on Saturday 10 June 2023 at 10.15 am in the new student hub - The Nucleus - on the King's Buildings Campus.

Following the statutory Half-Yearly Meeting of the General Council, there will be an event for General Council members and their guests to explore the fascinating research taking place at the King's Buildings Campus.

King's Buildings is a campus which is readily accessible by public transport. In the interests of sustainability we would encourage people to use one of the local bus services - 912, 24, 38. Please note that the no. 9 bus service has recently replaced the no. 41 service. The no. 9 service terminates in the Kings Buildings campus but follows a different route to the no. 41 bus through the city centre.  If as a result of this change travelling by bus is no longer convenient, please note that parking will be free of charge for General Council members and their guests during this event (please note that this will be on a first come first served basis as parking spaces are not reservable). Please enter via Gate No. 2 beside the Joseph Black building; turn left and park in front of the Grant Institute in James Hutton Road or at any of the parking points in KB Square.

The format for the day is as follows:

9.30am Registration and teas/coffees
10.15am General Council Statutory Meeting
10.45am Break
