National Health Service Pension Scheme - Scotland (NHSPS)
Some employees are who are employed in the University’s medical school are entitled to remain in NHS as part of the University’s Direction Body status.
Typically the employee will be employed as a lecturer or clinical researcher. More details about the NHS pension scheme can be found at the following link.
If you are a new member of staff and think you are entitled to remain in NHS please contact finance.helpline@ed.ac.uk as soon as possible as the option to remain in NHSPS has to be made within three months of joining the University.
