New College

New College, situated on the Mound, provides several unique indoor spaces including Rainy Hall and the library as well as the outside quad.

Offering incredible views over New Town towards the Firth of Forth, New College originated as the Free Church of Scotland and merged with the School of Divinity in the University in 1929 to become a part of our campus. It offers numerous indoor spaces, including Rainy Hall, Martin Hall and the New College Library. Outside, the interior quad also offers ample space for events hosting in the historic surrounds of an impressive building in the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town.

* Note - New College Library will be closed for essential renovations from late December 2019 until June 2021.
