The popular Creative Writing Course at the Scottish Universities International Summer School (SUISS) is an intensive three-week programme providing experience in a range of genres. It gives developing writers a dynamic and supportive environment in which to further their skills, master classes led by acclaimed guest writers and free entry to special events at the Edinburgh International Book Festival.
The Scottish Universities International Summer School is based at the University of Edinburgh and pools the resources of some of Britain's most prestigious universities.
The Contemporary Theatre and Performance Course is a two-week course providing a challenging and diverse introduction to contemporary British and Irish theatre with a global impact. The course gives students the chance to study theatre and performance in Scotland’s beautiful capital city, while the Edinburgh International Festival and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe take place. Students also have the opportunity to attend events, including Festival shows and readings from leading contemporary theatre practitioners.
An Insight into the EIFF is a 10-day course run in conjunction with the Edinburgh International Film Festival in mid-June each year. As well as lectures and tutor-led group discussions, the course participants attend a number of film premieres as well as the Festival Opening night.

Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) are freely accessible and open-licensed short courses delivered to large groups of learners online.
