Festival Season in Edinburgh

And so it begins.....

It’s that time of year again. The posters are starting to appear across the city, the tenants are setting up in University venues and everyone is praying for a dry August. Festival season is starting in Edinburgh, and the University, along with everyone else, is getting ready for the month long stint of venue hopping, trying to catch maximum shows on minimum sleep.

This year, the University’s programme of events is more varied than ever. From a concert in tribute to Pierre Boulez as part of the brand new Edinburgh Digital Entertainment Festival, to academics showcasing their ground breaking research as part of the Cabaret of Dangerous Ideas, the University of Edinburgh is at the forefront of cultural events in the city.

We’re looking forward to getting started. To keep up to date with the University’s engagement with the festivals, follow us on social media (@UOEFestivals) and check back here for highlights.
