Edinburgh International Film Festival (EIFF)
The University is proud to host events in conjunction with the Edinburgh International Film Festival.
The University of Edinburgh has a memorandum of Understanding with the Centre for the Moving Image – a national organisation that incorporates the Edinburgh International Film festival and Film House Edinburgh. We support this organisation by providing venues and contributing content and our staff and alumni often have work shown.
We have a rich collaboration with Filmhouse Edinburgh throughout the year on a range of short festivals (French, Spanish, Bioethics, Spyweek), regular programmes (Screening Europe, Filmosophy), as well as bringing a special dimension to screenings, with introductions, post-film discussions and interviews that link to areas of academic expertise.
