About the International Festival

We are the official University partner of the Edinburgh International Festival (EIF). Our events range from concerts to lectures by our academics.

The EIF has a special relationship with the University of Edinburgh. As the Festival's official University Partner, we sponsored the 2015 opening concert featuring renowned musical alumnus, Donald Runnicles.

Also in 2015, the University worked with the International Festival to create the Festival opening event, The Harmonium Project, a sound and light show which took place outside Usher Hall.
