The final phases of the renovation and redevelopment of the Lister and Pfizer buildings at 5 Roxburgh Place have been completed, creating a modern, fully accessible learning and teaching facility which will be home to over 900 students.

The buildings, located in the historic city centre, have undergone a series of alterations and refurbishments. A new six storey, steel framed building featuring aluminium curtain walling has been created to link both buildings and provide better access, circulation and breakout space.

The existing spaces have all been completely remodelled to provide a mix of classrooms and consists of 2 teaching studios, 15 tutorial rooms, and 10 new seminar rooms, all with associated breakout space. The project also included the refurbishment of the existing Davidson Lecture Hall.

Carried out over a series of four phases, the first phase of the project was opened in September 2017 and the final three phases have now been completed in time for the start of the new 2018 academic year. The building is fully accessible, with lifts to all floors, accessible toilets and secure cycle racks at the entrance.
