Bayes Centre project enters final phase

Landscaping works require closure of Marshall Street pavement

The pavement on Marshall Street will be closed from Monday 12th February 2018 until completion of the Bayes Centre landscaping project in the early summer. Pedestrian access to the 7 Bristo Square car park will be maintained via the concrete ramp accessed from Bristo Square, however there will be no pedestrian access from the east during the works and there will be no through route.

This is the final phase of the Potterrow Development and follows the completion of the Informatics Forum and Dugald Stewart Buildings in 2008. The Bayes Centre will create a hub for innovation that substantially broadens the scope of the School of Informatics. The building will house a mixture of internal users and external groups that may include start-up companies and research groups amongst many others.

The building will provide flexible spaces in the form of individual offices, open plan working, dedicated secure space for external groups, social space, meeting and conference rooms, laboratories (for robotics and human monitoring), teaching spaces and seminar rooms.
