Built by Thomas Davies in 1856 for the family of Thomas Nelson of 'Thomas Nelson & sons Printing works' His two eldest sons lived in the adjoining properties of Salisbury Green and St Leonards Hall. His daughter was married to Canadian politician George Brown at the house in 1862, her brother John Nelson performed the ceremony. See Salisbury Green and St Leonards Hall notes for more information. Wherever possible we have installed access ramps and access lifts to help mobility-impaired building users gain access to our buildings.
We have also put in place disabled evacuation lifts and emergency evacuation procedures for wheelchair users in the event of fire.
