Sponsorship for Inclusion for Leaders

You'll be introduced to an intentional framework for more inclusive sponsorship.

You'll be introduced to an intentional framework for more inclusive sponsorship and consider how you can apply the framework to transition from a mentor to become an inclusive sponsor. You will have the opportunity to explore individual, peer group and organisational strategies for moving beyond capricious, individual patronage to considered, equitable sponsorship.

The programme is facilitated by The Reverse Mentoring Practice

The workshops, introspection interlude and activities aim to support, challenge and equip leaders to democratise sponsorship. Over 4 weeks, you will:

  • explore the nature of democratic, equitable and inclusive sponsorship
  • reflect on your relationships with junior colleagues who have social characteristics  different to yours
  • deconstruct your existing professional networks and circles of influence and consider the benefits of diversifying them
  • explore the power of transitioning from mentor to inclusive sponsor
  • generate a plan for personal action

The programme entails two 90-minute workshops, held online on:

Tuesday 23 January 2024, 10am - 11.30am & Thursday 22 February 2024, 12.00pm - 1.30pm

Attendance at both workshops is required.
