  • 12th March 2020,  International Women's Day 10th Anniversay Annual Lecture, Anjali Ramachandran Director at Storythings, content studio. Anjali is also the co-founder of global network for women in tech Ada’s List, with over 8000 members.  She was one of the top 100 BAME UK Tech Leaders announced by the Financial Times in 2018, and was shortlisted for Woman of the Year at the Asian Achievement Awards in 2019. She is also a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA).  More on this and previous lectures at::

8th March 2019 - Wikipedia Editathon – Women of Edinburgh

This event was open to staff, students and friends of the University and provided an opportunity to help add more notable women associated with Edinburgh to Wikipedia, where only ~18% of the English Wikipedia's biographies are about women.  

7th March 2018 - The annual International Women's Day Lecture speaker for 2018  was  Anne Richards, CVO, CBE, FRSE Chief Executive Officer of M&G Investments, and Vice-Convener of University of Edinburgh Court.  The lecture was held on the evening of 7 March 2018,  McEwan Hall, Teviot Place. Lecture theme was  "Investing for everyone - can Finance help close the gender equality gap?”

8th March 2018   - a Wikipedia editing event held to celebrate #Vote100 as an important milestone on the road to universal franchise. Creating articles on Wikipedia about the suffragettes 

30th March - Wikipedia Women in Red monthly meetup held Friday 30th March 2018 ((normally on last Thursday or Friday in the month) to address the systemic bias on Wikipedia by writing articles about notable women missing from Wikipedia.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:University_of_Edinburgh/Events_and_Workshops/Women_in_Red#About_the_event
