As a student on the University of Edinburgh’s Postgraduate Pre-sessional English Programme (PGPEP) you’ll have the opportunity to complement your studies with a short course in languages, free of charge. The University’s Centre for Open Learning offers one of the largest selections of language courses in Edinburgh so whether you’re an absolute beginner or have studied and used the language for several years, there will be a language course for you. A placement test will be needed for anything beyond Beginners Step 1 and we can support you to assess your level. Courses run for 10 weeks and normally cost around £150. Our courses focus on communication skills through task-based learning with a particular emphasis on speaking and are led by expert and passionate teachers.
