Thinking about a rewarding career as a secondary school teacher in science, design & technology, engineering, geography or maths related subjects?
This event is for you.
Join us to hear from current students and teachers about what it is really like to study for a Professional Graduate Diploma in Education and work as a teacher in STEM-related subjects.

A one-year programme beginning mid-August

The 36-week Professional Graduate Diploma in Education - PGDE (Secondary) - programme is divided equally between University-taught courses and school placement courses. The programme is therefore designed to prepare students for the range of roles that teachers are expected to play: a reflective classroom practitioner; a collaborator who contributes to the wider formal and informal curriculum of the school through interdisciplinary learning and through extracurricular activities; a subject specialist and a curriculum developer; a teacher in society, whether building strong relationships with parents or contributing to national policy debates; and a teacher who has the capacity for leadership.
