Facilities in the Institute for Sport, Physical Education and Health Sciences

As a student on the BSc Applied Sport Science programme, you’ll be based in Moray House’s Institute for Sport, Physical Education and Health Sciences.

Here we offer comprehensively-equipped laboratories for human performance, exercise physiology, biomechanics, sports psychology and motor skills.

For anyone with an interest and involvement in sport, Edinburgh is ideal - with facilities and societies catering for 24 of the 26 Olympic sporting disciplines.

Students can access a range of support services, from Edinburgh Global and Careers Service to the Students' Association and Sports Union.

The Institute is connected to the University’s Sport and Exercise facilities, offering specialist gymnasia, sports halls, a swimming pool and fitness suites. The Peffermill playing fields are some of the finest sports pitches in Scotland.
