LochPower at Forth Valley

mh-news-lochpower
Professor Nanette Mutrie – together with Forest & Land Scotland, NHS Forth Valley, Paths for All Maggies’ and Forth Environment Link – has been motivating Forth Valley Royal Hospital staff, patients and visitors to use the green spaces at Fort Valley Loch in Labert to benefit their health and wellbeing. Nanette’s signs and messages encourage walkers to pause for a few moments and do some, or all, of the 9 highlighted strength and balance exercises as well as stressing the benefits of doing simple strength and balance exercises at least twice a week.

Park Power: Strength and balance excercises

Strength and balance are forgotten aspects of our fitness. There are 9 strength and balance exercise for you to follow in this PDF, created by Professor Nanette Mutrie.

They were originally designed for signs in a park [and maybe you can persuade your local park to install them using this PDF]. But you could easily adapt them to do in your own house!
