As an international think tank dedicated to addressing local and global sporting issues the Academy of Sport is open to local and global members who share our passion, mission and vision.

Members of staff from across the University of Edinburgh contribute to the work of the Academy of Sport.

The interdisciplinary focus is reflected in the range of expertise of our University members.

The Academy is supported by global members external to the University of Edinburgh.

The power of education to make a difference in today and tomorrow’s world is important to us.

The home of the Academy of Sport is the Moray House School of Education and Sport. The school has a long tradition of seeking to address inequality and injustice.

It is hoped that over the next five years new members will contribute to our impact, study and dialogue.

Governance

The governance of the Academy involves a small management team and international advisory council who help to guide the development of the Academy’s impact, study, dialogue and strategic direction.
