Analysis of workplace literacies pilot project

This research will examine the reports produced by eight pilot projects that sought to promote the awareness and participation of employers and employees in workplace literacies development and developed models for addressing literacies learning in the workplace, including guidance, to provide employers with a ‘consistent one-stop-shop’ approach - from initial awareness raising to delivery of learning.

Summary

The main aims are to:

  • consider the models of approach identified by each of the projects and highlight effective practice within the ‘Awareness, Identification and Solution’ (AIS) model of approach detailed in the specification
  • consider and advise on how the effective practice is capable of being replicated
  • identify any gaps highlighted by the projects
  • assess the robustness and quality of the individual reports produced
  • summarise the lessons learnt; and produce key ‘how to’ guidance and learning points which can be disseminated nationally present these points at a national conference if appropriate
