Teachers as Agents of Change
Teachers are increasingly called upon to act as ‘agents of change’, often in the context of social justice agendas. However, despite their commitment to justice, teachers’ power to make a difference can be limited in the face of wider social injustices and institutional structures.

Our programme of research around Teachers as Agents of Change analyses data about teachers’ beliefs and situated practices, to explore the conditions that support teachers’ acting as agents of change in their schools.
How to get involved
School teachers, head teachers, and other school staff who would like to get involved are welcome to get in touch with the lead researcher Dr Nataša Pantić at natasa.pantic@ed.ac.uk
