First meeting of the Leverhulme network

The first meeting of the Leverhulme network on special education and policy change took place in Edinburgh on the 19th and 20th April. The first day consisted of presentations from each of the jurisdictions focusing on education systems, special needs policy and practice and contextual information about the jurisdiction. This part of the meeting was open to other academics and there was opportunity to discuss the differences in policy and practice in the different jurisdictions. It also explored the potential for developing research proposal in this area. The second day consisted of network participants only and involved planning the work to be undertaken over the next six months.
