Prof von Prondzynski's view on free tuition
The Telegraph (4th June, 2013) noted that in a review of HE governance commissioned by Mr. Mike Russell, Professor Ferdinand von Prondzynski, the principal of Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, pointed out that free university tuition failed to mainly benefit the disadvantaged. The article noted that Mr. Russell has rejected similar claims made by Sheila Riddell in Scotsman (30th May, 2013) that scrapping fees had not “markedly altered” the number of working class students in HE.
