Macleod and McCluskey received Article of the Year award (01.03.2016)

Gale Macleod and Gillean McCluskey, along with Annie Pirrie and Mairi Ann Cullen, received the Article of the Year award from the Educational Review editorial board for their article "Parents of excluded pupils: customers, partners, problems?".

The award was made on the basis of the REF Framework's criteria of significance, originality and rigour.  As winners, Gale Macleod and Gillean McCluskey, with colleagues Anne Pirrie (University of West Scotland) and Mairi Ann Cullen (University of Warwick) were  invited to give a seminar on the theme of their paper to an invited audience at the University of Birmingham’s School of Education.  The seminar took place on 16 March 2016   http://explore.tandfonline.com/content/ed/cedr-prize-winners
