CREID awarded Horizon 2020 grant (29.10.2015)
CREID has been awarded a prestigious Horizon 2020 grant on lifelong learning for young adults in Europe. Our proposal ranked first out of 145 proposals and was given a maximum score.
Professor Ellen Boerenand Professor Sheila Riddellwill participate in this three-year project, "ENLIVEN - Encouraging Lifelong Learning for an Inclusive and Vibrant Europe". They will be part of a European consortium with eight other European countries (England, Flanders, Austria, Denmark, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Estonia and Spain). The project will critically explore policy interventions in adult education, with a specific focus on the education and training of young adults.
The project aims to enable policy-makers at EU, national and organizational levels to enhance the provision and take-up of learning opportunities for adults, leading to a more productive and innovative workforce, and reduced social exclusion. The project team will explore the set-up of an Intelligent Decision Support System as a tool to help policy makers in their decision-making processes, based on underlying scientific evidence of best practices, benchmarks and indicators.
Many congratulations to the research team.
