Guardian on Blackburn's working paper on grants, loans & fees for university students across UK (29.4.2014 & 1.5.2014)
Two articles from the Guardian (29th April 2014) and an article from Huffington Post (1st May 2014) quoted Lucy Hunter Blackburn's working paper for our ESRC Fellowship project.
Blackburn's study compares grants for various incomes across all four UK nations, plus fees and student loans. While noting that the free tuition and the cuts in grants in Scotland mainly benefit more affluent families, the articles also highlight the benefits of the Welsh unique loan system to lower-income families.
