Teaching staff as agents of change: does the PgCAP make a difference? | Tue 9 Mar 2021

This session reports on some PTAS funded research which looks at the difference that the PgCAP makes to teachers’ sense of agency here at the University.  We look at the main findings from the research and consider if and how taking the PgCAP enables agency.  We also consider whether agency is a shared attribute rather than something that rests with the individual alone.

The meeting will run from 11:45-13:00, with the first 15 minutes being a chance to network and catch up with each other.  Hazel will present from 12:00.

As our events staff in the IAD are currently under a lot of pressure, we cannot provide a full booking service so instead, I have created an ETN Teams site and we will run the event there.

If you want to join the event you need to do the following:

  • Put the event in your calendar:  11:45-13:00 on March 9th 2021

Click HERE to join the new Teams site BEFORE the event.

  • Bring your lunch on the day!

Even if you aren't able to join us on the day, please feel free to sign up to the Teams site as you can then access the recording afterwards and see the chat.

  1. Sometimes an event starts automatically and then you get unwanted pinging noises even if you haven't joined - you can stop this by going to 'chat' and clicking on the three dots by the meeting and selecting 'mute'.
  2. If you have any difficulties joining the Teams site, please contact Rayya Ghul, PFHEA.
