Karen Brown is one of our speakers at the ENLIVEN dissemination event "Post-School Education and Training for Young People on the Social Margins: Evidence from Scotland". She is the Activity Agreement Implementation Officer with East Lothian Council.

For over eight years, Karen has been the ‘Activity Agreement Implementation Officer’ with East Lothian Council working with marginalised young people, supporting them to re-engage in education, employment or further training. She is an artist, with a background teaching art in a residential school, a role which as much pastoral as it was delivering curriculum. Karen says ‘the Activity Agreement remains a successful programme with good results. I am still bewildered as to how I got here and look forward to retirement. Or a lottery win!’
