Please find our courses below to support teachers' leadership of learning across sectors. These courses will be familiar to some since they were run previously through our Scottish Centre for Studies in School Administration (SCSSA).

Raising Attainment through Transformational Change

This course considers the latest policy advice and academic research, and provides a hands-on opportunity to develop planning and success criteria for raising attainment, including addressing inequity, through the use of transformational change thinking.

Principal Teacher Leadership of Learning

This course is designed for individuals in both primary and secondary sectors to give an understanding of the key concepts and strategies for leading and managing the processes of learning, teaching and assessment within a department/faculty.

Introduction to Effective Timetabling

An intensive 3-day secondary school timetabling course for those involved in the construction of the school timetable for the first time or in need of an overview of the basics of the theory and practice of timetabling, particularly with a focus on curriculum for excellence.

Intermediate Timetabling: Further Skills for Timetabling Curriculum for Excellence

Summer School 2018: Evaluation Methods for Safe Inclusive Schools

This significant and timely one-week summer school opportunity provides an introduction to the skills needed to design, conduct or commission evaluations of violence prevention interventions in school settings.
