Please find our courses below to support teachers' leadership of learning across sectors. These courses will be familiar to some since they were run previously through our Scottish Centre for Studies in School Administration (SCSSA).

Raising Attainment through Transformational Change

This course considers the latest policy advice and academic research, and provides a hands-on opportunity to develop planning and success criteria for raising attainment, including addressing inequity, through the use of transformational change thinking.

Introduction to Effective Timetabling

An intensive 3-day secondary school timetabling course for those involved in the construction of the school timetable for the first time or in need of an overview of the basics of the theory and practice of timetabling, particularly with a focus on curriculum for excellence.

This is an intermediate timetabling course for those that have completed the Effective Timetabling course or those with some knowledge of timetabling.

Evaluation Methods for Safe Inclusive Schools Intensive Course

This significant and timely one-week intensive learning opportunity provides an introduction to using Implementation Research to adapt violence prevention interventions for different contexts and settings, with a specific focus on the INSPIRE framework – a compilation of interventions that are proven or highly likely to prevent violence against children developed by the WHO, UNICEF, CDC, Together for Girls, PEPFAR and other stakeholders (WHO, 2016).
