Moray House School of Education and Sport

Free Saturday Morning Talks

Moray House School of Education and Sport is delighted to introduce a new series of events designed to stimulate thinking and discussion about key areas of practice in Scotland’s schools and early years settings.

These events are free to attend and aimed at practitioners at all levels across Scotland.  They will offer insight into important, relevant areas of work and afford colleagues the opportunity to explore issues in an informal, professional and empowering environment.

Attending one of these events will allow you to:

  • discuss an important topic openly in a ‘safe’ learning environment
  • meet colleagues with both similar and, hopefully, differing experiences and outlooks
  • try out and extend your own thinking on a key issue, and
  • return to your setting even better informed than you were previously

Each session will begin at 9.30am and finish by 12:30pm.  In the spirit of the events, the day will begin with a breakfast roll and the chance to network.

This will then be followed by a presentation in the given area by a senior, experienced professional. This will act as a stimulus to open discussion and continued exploration of the topic.  You will get the chance to share practice, ask questions and build networks.  You may choose to build on the learning from the day through use of social media, though this is completely optional.

A fantastic, informative morning. Well delivered and so helpful in a practical sense. Thank you so much!
