UK Concussion Prevention Network assembles for second meeting

On April 24th, over 100 individuals, including researchers, athletes, clinicians, policymakers, teachers and industry partners gathered at Twickenham Stadium to discuss ways to reduce concussions in youth and community sports by 30% in the next six years.

Froebelian Futures project continues Moray House’s commitment to  early childhood education

This visionary initiative, rooted in the Froebelian philosophy, prioritises outdoor play, creativity and nature-based learning. Launched in 2021, after investment from the Froebel Trust, the Froebelian Futures project lasted three years, wrapping up in 2024.

Dr Loel Collins blends research and adventure in Antarctica

Blending adventure with research, Dr Loel Collins, a lecturer at Moray House and an expert in performance coaching, was lead sea kayaking guide for a group of 100 individuals on a two-week expedition to Antarctica.

Incidental activity and heart health

A study of over 25,000 UK adults wearing top-of-the-range trackers provided evidence of the positive effects of short bursts of activity, or incidental activity, on health. Depending on how long participants were active, this type of activity may reduce risks of heart attack, stroke and mortality rates.
