Welcome to the MSc Sport Policy, Management and International Development. I am delighted that you will be joining our programme at the University of Edinburgh.
This is particularly an important time for sport management and policy students to consider the shifting and flexible nature of the sport industry in a post-pandemic world. The global value chains in the field of sport business are fast restructuring, and the organisation of major sporting events now requires a more complicated logistical approach. Sustainability becomes one of the most important principles in the world of sport. You will have an ample chance to discuss these exciting but challenging situations in both public and private sector sport development at local and global levels. Digital technology has also opened a new horizon in the field of sport management research and education.
