Tuition fees and costs
Annual tuition fees are listed on the Postgraduate Study Programme Fees pages related to your desired exit level and duration of study.
- MSc Outdoor Environmental and Sustainability Education - 15 Months (Full-time)
- MSc Outdoor Environmental and Sustainability Education - 30 Months (Part-time)
- MSc Outdoor Environmental and Sustainability Education (ICL) - 2-6 Years (Part-time Intermittent Study)
- PgDip Outdoor Environmental and Sustainability Education - 1 Year (Full-time)
- PgDip Outdoor Environmental and Sustainability Education - 2 Years (Part-time)
- PgDip Outdoor Environmental and Sustainability Education (ICL) 1-4 Years (Part-time Intermittent Study)
- PgCert Outdoor Environmental and Sustainability Education (ICL) 1-2 Years (Part-time Intermittent Study)
If you register to study on a 'part-time intermittent study' basis you will pay the academic tuition fees on a course-by-course basis, rather than paying for the entire programme at the outset. As fees change each year, your total cost will depend on the length of time taken to complete your programme. Part-time students will pay any additional costs associated with the Professional Development Programme in the year of study wherein the costs were incurred. Note that the Professional Development Programme is not part of the Postgraduate Certificate.
Additional Programme Costs
The Professional Development Programme is an essential opportunity for students to apply theory to practice in residential, journeying, and workplace situations. The fee structure for this programme has been revised to include the compulsory elements of the Professional Development Programme such that there are no additional programme costs.
Optional elements of the Professional Development Programme (which are subject to change and may include rock-climbing, river kayaking, bushcraft, wilderness first aid) incur an additional cost; contact the Programme Director for more information on these.
The Professional Development Programme is not a part of the Postgraduate Certificate route but students on the Postgraduate Certificate may take some of the skills courses at additional cost.
Scholarships and funding
Scholarship opportunities are subject to change each year. We are pleased to offer a number of School-specific scholarships, but students are encouraged to seek out opportunities from the University and external funding bodies.
Moray House Masters Scholarships
Moray House School of Education and Sport is pleased to offer a number of scholarships covering part of the tuition fees for students commencing study on one of our Masters' degree programmes in September 2020. These will be based on merit and available to applicants for the majority of Moray House taught MSc courses.
