Tuition fees and costs

Annual tuition fees are listed on the Postgraduate Study Programme Fees pages related to your desired exit level and duration of study.

If you register to study on a 'part-time intermittent study' basis (ICL) you will pay the academic tuition fees on a course-by-course basis, rather than paying for the entire programme at the outset. As fees change each year, your total cost will depend on the length of time taken to complete your programme.

Part-time students will pay additional costs associated with the core courses of the Professional Development Programme across the first 2 years of study. For optional courses, part-time students will pay additional costs in the year of study wherein the costs were incurred. Note that the Professional Development Programme is not part of the Postgraduate Certificate.

Additional Programme Costs

The Professional Development Programme is an essential opportunity for students to apply theory to practice in residential, journeying, and workplace situations. The fee structure for this programme including the core courses of the Professional Development Programme are included in the academic fees.

Optional courses of the Professional Development Programme (which are subject to change and may include rock-climbing, river kayaking, bushcraft, wilderness first aid) incur an additional cost to be paid at the beginning of the academic year. Contact the Programme Director for more information on these.

The Professional Development Programme is not a part of the Postgraduate Certificate route but students on the Postgraduate Certificate may take some of the skills courses at additional cost.

Scholarship opportunities are subject to change each year. We are pleased to offer a number of School-specific scholarships, but students are encouraged to seek out opportunities from the University and external funding bodies.
