I am delighted to welcome the University of Edinburgh's MSc in Dance Science and Education to the range of advanced dance provision available in the UK and look forward very much to hearing of its progress and success.

Dance in Scotland is thriving. We enjoy a diverse and vibrant dance sector including professional companies, independent choreographers and teachers, a network of dance centres and innovative community projects encouraging thousands of people across Scotland to dance every week. The potential within the dance sector in Scotland is thrilling and the development of the MSc Dance Science and Education at the University of Edinburgh is a welcome addition to the dance landscape in Scotland.

Dance UK's Healthier Dancer Programme works to promote dancers' health, fitness, well-being and performance, and longer, healthier dance careers. We welcome the development of Scotland's first MSc in Dance Science and Education and the contribution it will make to this aim.

Careers Service

The University of Edinburgh's Careers Service supports all current students (and graduates for up to 2 years) to develop their potential and achieve satisfying and rewarding futures.  This is done through individual appointments, group sessions and wider campus-based activity, alongside online services and resources.  A diverse programme of face-to-face and online events is delivered throughout the academic year.
