Personal tutoring
Information about personal tutoring and the support our Student Support Team provides.
All Undergraduate and Postgraduate Taught students at Moray House will have a Personal Tutor: a named member of academic staff who will support you throughout your time at the University, providing academic guidance and a route to pastoral support. The University’s Personal Tutor system aims to help you to:
- become a more confident learner in your discipline
- play an active part in your academic community
- reflect on your academic progress
- make effective use of your academic feedback
- engage in effective career planning
You will also be supported throughout your time at university by the Student Experience and Support Team.

Senior Personal Tutors
The Senior Personal Tutors support the Personal Tutors, and are also be available in the event that your Personal Tutor is absent from the University. Their contact information is here. You can also contact them through the Student Experience and Support Office.

Student Experience and Support Office
The Student Experience and Support Office collaborate with staff and students across the school to enhance student experience and support at Moray House School of Education and Sport. They are a key part of the support network available to you as a student at Moray House. The Student Experience and Support Officers that make up our team are Neale Summers, Emily Birtles, Sian Gowans and Abbi Jenkins.
