If you are working on your business idea and want to get investment ready, the Startup Summer Accelerator is just for you. Described by previous participants as “the best programme in Edinburgh to accelerate your business from idea to reality”. Be inspired by local entrepreneurs and excited for investment opportunities. This 12-week intensive learning and leadership programme is designed to get student businesses, with high growth potential, investment ready.

Providing high level support and financial assistance to student businesses and social and environmental ventures that have high growth and impact potential.

The accelerator is designed to support students who have a well-developed business concept and can demonstrate a market need for their product or service, innovation or positive impact on society and the environment as well as the potential to scale.

We have teamed up with Santander Universities to bring you the Startup Summer Accelerator. Receive £3,000 in funding (when you attend the accelerator) so you can learn and work full-time on your business idea over the summer.  Participants will also have the opportunity to pitch for a larger cash prize at the end of the programme.

Develop your skills and learn everything you need to know to become a successful entrepreneur. With regular workshops and weekly meetings you’ll learn market validation, product development, finances, pitching and digital marketing skills. With additional, optional workshops to suit you and your startup idea.

The cohort will also receive expert mentorship and coaching, peer to peer sessions, and gain industry insight through weekly events featuring top entrepreneurs and investors from Edinburgh’s startup community.

My business went from having a semi-broken prototype to an almost releasable MVP in the space of the accelerator. The ability to focus on my startup full-time was incredibly valuable.
