Neil Cox is Professor of Modern and Contemporary Art at the University of Edinburgh.

His interests lie at the intersection of modern artistic practices and theoretical and philosophical discourses. His long-term project focuses on surrealist conceptions of history that will draw upon theories of violence and sovereignty.

Neil is Director of the ARTIST ROOMS Research Partnership.

Harry Weeks is a doctoral researcher and teaching fellow in History of Art at the University of Edinburgh. His thesis, entitled A Unique Epochal Knot: Negotiations of Community in Contemporary Art, examines the contributions of contemporary art practice to the conceptual negotiation of community initiated by theorists of 'postmodern community' during the 1980s.

He has contributed to numerous international academic, artistic and curatorial projects. A chapter on ethics and performance features in the edited collection Interactive Contemporary Art: Participation in Practice, published by I.B.Tauris in early 2014.
