International Engagement

NBIC is facilitating International Engagement & Collaboration in Biofilms

The National Biofilm Innovation Centre (NBIC) is the UK's hub for academic/industry collaboration in the development of new tools, technologies, products and services in the field of biofilm research across all industrial sectors. NBIC collaborates internationally with biofilm researchers and centres around the globe, establishing collaborative projects and promoting academic and student exchanges.

NBIC has signed MOUs with the Centre for Biofilm Engineering (CBE) at Montana State University, the Singapore Centre for Environmental Life Sciences Engineering (SCELSE) and the Singapore National Biofilm Consortium (SNBC). They have held joint symposia with the Indian Biofilm Society, a joint meeting on "Metal-Microbe Interactions" with the CBE, and will hold a joint meeting with the Argentinean Society for General Microbiology in 2022.
