Engineering Microbes and Microbial Communities

Biofilms-related research at the School of Biological Sciences

Research on biofilms and biofilm-relevant bacteria at the School of Biological Sciences includes the engineering microbes and microbial communities to remediate wastes by upcycling components into higher-value chemicals and products. Further research focuses on developing novel lignin-metallic nanoparticle composites as anticorrosion and antifouling agents.
