Economic Democracy Course

Could a cooperative market economy, in which firms are owned and controlled by their workers, be a viable and efficient alternative to capitalism? The course focuses on this central question, as we discuss the internal impact of worker control; productivity, governance and management, as well as the external impact; spillovers for health, democracy, and the local economy.

On-line, open, free, self-paced course, with automated quizzes and community forums, monitored by the academic team and their teaching assistants. The third run of the course started on 7 March 2019 and will end on 29 January 2020. Students can enrol at any time.

Upon completion of the course a verified certificate can be added for $49 USD.
