Scholarships and student funding
Find out about our scholarships and funding opportunities.
In recent years, on average, around 20% of Divinity postgraduate students were awarded some level of scholarship funding.
- Scholarships are awarded on academic merit. Most are open to all, but some are ring-fenced for applicants from certain parts of the world.
- Awards are made for both Masters and PhD programmes.
- Typically, awards are for partial fee costs. Fully funded awards are exceptional and highly competitive.
PhD funding competitions include the Edinburgh Doctoral College Scholarships, the College of Arts Humanities and Social Science Research Award, the School of Divinity Research Scholarships and the Scottish Graduate School for Arts and Humanities (SGSAH) AHRC Doctoral Training Partnership scholarships.
To be eligible to apply for a scholarship you must first apply for a postgraduate programme of study.
For each scholarship for which you wish to be considered you must make specific and separate application
