Archived news from the School of Divinity Prof Jane Dawson elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh Professor Jane Dawson, John Laing Professor of Reformation History, has been elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, Scotland's national academy of the arts and sciences. Her induction into the RSE recognises Professor Dawson's pathbreaking scholarship in early modern religion and society, and more specifically her major contributions to our understanding of religion and culture in early modern Scotland. This is one of the highest honours that Scotland can bestow, and both the School of Divinity and the larger University of Edinburgh community take enormous pride in her achievement.
