David Fergusson delivered Mackay Lectures at Taiwan Theological College and Seminary

The Mackay Lectures are named in honour of George Mackay (1841-1901), the first Presbyterian missionary in northern Formosa (now Taiwan).

Professor David Fergusson delivered the Mackay Lectures at Taiwan Theological College and Seminary from 4-6 September. Delivered in honour of George Leslie Mackay (1844-1901), missionary in Taipei and an alumnus of New College, the series of five lectures was on the theme 'The Spirit of the Reformation'. Professor Fergusson is pictured here beneath the statue of Mackay on the college campus with Professor Yang-en Cheng who was recently an honorary fellow in the School of Divinity.
