Call for Keen Amateur Singers to be part of a project to capture the experience of Reformed Psalm singing

Singing the reformation 2016 - A unique chance to be part of a recording project to capture the Psalm singing culture of Reformation Scotland.

19 March; 15-17 April at St Mary's Church, Haddington

Professor Jane Dawson has previously invited us to enjoy the project of  Singing the Reformation: The world of Reformation Britain as seen and heard in the Wode Psalter which was  funded by the AHRC and  ran from 2009-12. This was a multi-disciplinary project which studied an important collection of musical part books of the Psalms.

Her latest project is funded by CAHSS KE grant and called The past in the present: the sound world of early Reformed psalm-singing in Scotland and you have the chance to benefit from the expertise of, and enjoy working with the skilled and charismatic project team which includes Professor Dawson and Martin Ritchie, a PhD student and choir master at New College.
