Preaching Today Conference

Join us for a conference to reflect on preaching today as it relates to your ministry and parish. The event will include major contributions from: Rev Dr Sam Wells (Vicar of St-Martin-in-the-Fields, London, and regular broadcaster) Rev Dr Doug Gay (Principal of Trinity College, University of Glasgow and author of God be in My Mouth: Forty Ways to Grow as a Preacher). Professor Paul Nimmo will consider the role of preaching from a Reformed position.  Rev Dr Marjory MacLean will speak about using the lectionary imaginatively- or not using it all. There will be a panel discussion with preachers from a variety of theological perspectives, with time for questions and debate. The conference is for anyone who wants to explore ways to preach better and to be inspired to give their preaching ministry a new focus. Your ticket includes a free copy of Doug Gay's new book - God Be In My Mouth. Registration opens from 9:30am. This conference is brought to you by Ascend (Church of Scotland) and New College, University of Edinburgh.

Tickets are £25. To register and pay, please visit
